The Decker Coal Company is eyeing 320 acres ofthermal coal reserves on federally-owned lands that it couldtest for quality and potentially ship to Asian or domestic customers,the executive director of the Montana Coal Councilsaid Wednesday.Decker, which is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Salt LakeCity-based Ambre Energy, would do the prospecting beforegoing through a permitting process that would allow it todevelop and mine the lands, which would be part of its Eastand West Decker Mines in Big Horn County, Montana.
