RIL Q2 FY11 net profit jumps 2% on higher refining margins

Fuelled by improved refining margins as well as higher gas output from the KG D6 basin, Reliance Industries Ltd. (RIL) has scripted another success story with the declaration of its unaudited financial results for Q2 FY11 on Oct. 30,2010. The company's net profit for Q2 FY11 jumped 27% to Rs. 4,923-crore (Rs. 3,852-crore), driven by a 23% higher net sales turnover, at Rs. 57,479-crore (Rs. 46,848-crore).
