Gail in talks with domestic oil majors for setting up integrated refinery-cum-petrochemicals complex

Gail India Ltd. has started talks with pub-lic and private sector oil companies, such as ONGC, Oil India, Hindustan Petroleum, Reliance Industries and Essar Oil, to set up a special purpose vehicle (SPV) for developing an integrated refinery and petrochemicals plant in India and overseas markets. The proposal follows failure of an earlier attempt by the company to set up a similar venture at Vizag in partnership with HPCL, Oil India, Mittal Energy and French oil company, Total.
