Chemtura,US units file for bankruptcy protection

Chemtura Corporation,the US-based provider of speciality chemicals,crop-protection products,and pool and spa care products,has said that the parent and 26 US affiliates have filed to reorganise under Chapter 11 of US bankruptcy law.The company filed the petition in US Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York.
