Government to permit scientists, technologists and academicians get associated with Know-ledge Enterprises

To catalyse the development of a knowledge-driven economy, the Government of India has taken the first step to permit researchers to become part of knowledge enterprises, while continuing their re- search pursuits. The Union Cabinet last fortnight approved a proposal from the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR) that will permit researchers to participate in the commercial development of technologies developed by them and profit from it.
