European Union keen on resolving generic drugs exports issue with India

The European Union (EU) is not opposed to exports of generic medicine by Indian companies through its ports, informed European Commissioner for Trade, Ms. Catherine Ashton during her recent visit to India. Referring to the confiscation of Indian consignments of generic medicines in transit at Euro-pean ports during the past few months, she said EU would soon resolve the issue.
