TTIP negotiations accelerate, aim to wrap up by year-end

The 12th round of negotiations on the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP) between the European Union and the United States took place in Brussels at the end of February. The talks are being extended to allow deeper discussions into all areas of the negotiation. The negotiators plan to hold two additional rounds between now and the summer break. The two sides have agreed to accelerate the discussions to reach an agreement before President Barack Obama leaves office, at the end of this year.
