TTIP negotiations accelerate, aim to wrap up by year-end

The twelfth round of negotiations on the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP) between the European Union and the United States took place in Brussels last week. The talks are being extending to allow deeper discussion into all areas covered by the negotiation. The negotiators plan to hold two additional rounds between now and the summer break. The two sides have agreed to accelerate the discussions to reach an agreement before President Barack Obama leaves office at the end of this year.
