PTTGC's targets are to double revenue, to about $30 billion, in 2022, raise return on invested capital, and be in the industry's first quartile in profitability, which, for petrochemicals, means a profit margin of about 14%, Vongsinudom tells C W. The company also plans to become a regional leader and have a world-scale manufacturing base outside Thailand. Green chemistry, a relatively new business, also features high on the agenda. PTTGC aims to make its existing businesses more competitive through what it calls the "core uplift initiative" and explore new business opportunities under the "growth initiative."
