Bayer to build production line at Dormagen to make CO2-based polyols

Bayer MaterialScience (BMS), following a successful test phase and promising market analysis, plans to invest ?15 million ($20 million) in the construction of a production line at the company's site at Dormagen, Germany, that will use carbon dioxide (CO2) to produce polyols, a precursor for polyurethane (PU) foam. The line will be able to produce 5,000 m.t./year.
