Reliance Industries Signs Gas Supply Deal with 12 Indian Fertilizer Firms

Reliance Industries says it has signed agreements for the supply of natural gas to 12 Indian fertilizer manufacturers. The gas will be produced from Reliance's KG-D6 block of the Krishna Oodavari Basin in the Bay of Bengal. Reliance will supply 15 million cu meters/ day of gas to 15 urea production facilities in India, and each contract will last five years. The companies that have signed the agreement with Reliance include Tata Chemicals (Mumbai) and Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertilizers (Mumbai).
