Determination of the complete mechanical properties of piston pin as heterogeneous elastoplastic body contacting with piston bosses and connecting rod end are considered. The FEM realization of the selected calculation procedure is developed. It allows to calculate reliably the contact stresses fields on pin surface. Dependencies between strength properties and plasticity values and case-hardening depth are presented.
