The method involves detecting an induced current in induction coils (11, 21) by displacement of a piston, where the piston moves in contrary direction parallel to an axis of a linear electrodynamic engine based on an alternative movement. Frequency of the alternative movement is equal to a resonance frequency of an electromotor unit. An amplified damping current (I'nd) is applied to the induction coils with respect to the induced current. An independent claim is also included for a supplying circuit of an induction coil of a linear electrodynamic engine for implementing a damping method.
