US company Emerson has acquired Bristol Babcock from FKI Plc of Loughborough, UK, for UK Dollar 121 million. To be renamed Bristol, it becomes part of Emerson Process Management, and contributes measurement and control products, technologies and services for oil, gas, power, water and wastewater industries worldwide. Emerson says that Bristol will extend its product portfolio in flow measurement products and services, enabling it to add value, and improve performance and reliability for its customers. The acquisition complements the Emerson business unit's established measurement brands that include Rosemount, Micro Motion, Daniel and Mobrey.
