Present Situations and Future Subjects of Diesel Particulate Filter

摘要

The regulation of the diesel vehicle by the municipalities in the metropolitan area is begun October 1, 2003. Running of heavy-duty diesel vehicles that does not meet PM emission standard will be prohibited in the metropolitan area. In those diesel vehicles, renewal to the vehicle that met to the latest regulation is needed, or installation of the PM decrease device (DPF, Oxidation catalyst) is needed. This paper outlines performances and subjects of DPF which were specified until now by the feasibility test in Tokyo Metropolitan Government.
