The arrangement has a diesel particulate filter arranged in a sleeve (3), and a housing (5) for accommodating the filter and the sleeve, where the housing is inserted into a passage opening of a wall (6) i.e. intermediate wall, of an external housing (8). A flange connection is provided with a strap (19) for fastening the filter at the housing, where the flange connection has a flange (11) provided at an end of the sleeve and another flange (13) provided at an end (12) of the housing. The housing is attached to the flange provided at the sleeve in an assembled condition.
