摘要

Plants of this wild species were transformed with plasmid pG11 carrying the genes for human interferon and neomycin phosphotransferase II. The transformation was verified using the polymerase chain reaction and ELISA. Expression of the human interferon gene was established by Western blotting. The transgenic plants set seed and the transferred genes were inherited in the F1.
