The grounds for phyletic evolution of some birds from recent fauna

Some characteristics of three monotype genera (Gypaetus, Ibidorhyncha, and Tichodroma) were analyzed. Their phylogenetic relations, taxonomy, ranges, and geographical variation were discussed. Particular attention has been given to trophic specialization - food structure (Gypaetus) and a way of its gettin (Ibidorhyncha, and Tichodroma). The comparison of the data obtained attests that evolution in all three species is rather slow or stagnant. Their further evolution is suggested to be realized only as phyletic evolution.
