摘要

Road traffic is the most widespread source of noise in all countries and the primary reason for annoyance and interference with human activities. From this aspect, the relation between noise annoyance on each passing vehicles and the maximum A-weighted sound pressure levels (L{sub}(max) [dB]) is experimentally discussed with road vehicle noise simulator As the results, in the ease of steady running, "a little annoying" corresponds to 74dB and in the ease of accelerated running. it is 65dB. For investigation into the field conditions, we measured 24 hours on weekdays. Consequently to meet Japanese environmental quality standards, it is necessary to regulate individual motor vehicle under 74dB.
