Equipment for transportation of cabbage in a cabbage harvester

Mechanisms for lifting cabbage heads in the Russian harvesters MSK-1, MKP-2, MKP2"A", UKM-2 and German machine E-408A are analysed and disadvantages of the current designs pointed out. A new mechanism for cabbage head transportation is presented which decreases mechanical damage to cabbage and increases productivity of the equipment. Technical drawings are presented showing principles of work of both the existing machines and the mechanism suggested.
