Knowledge handling model for designing educational support systems

摘要

The personal activity in education is supported successively under the mutual dependency between various types of educational environments, such as the private learning, private lesson, group learning and group lecture. These educational environments have been investigated respectively by individually-developed educational support systems: CAI (Computer Aided Learning) system, ITS (Intelligent Tutoring System), CSCL (Computer Supported Collaborative Learning) system and CAI (Computer Aided Instruction) system. In this paper, we discuss the knowledge handling model, by regarding the educational activity as a sequence of knowledge manipulations. Cur knowledge handling model takes an important role to establish the mutual interactions among different educational support systems. Cur idea is to model the educational activity as the knowledge handling process and investigate how to manipulate the knowledge.
