Collaborating with the supply chain can pay off big time, according to a recent study conducted by Surgency, a Cam bridge, MA-based e-business strategy and implementation firm. The study indicates that when manufacturers collaborate with their supply chain early in the design process, they can realize a 12 percent reduction in time to value, a 20 percent reduction in development costs, and a 7 percent reduction in manufacturing costs.
