Simulation and Testing of Compressor Elements is a Critical Step in Hew Product Development and Component Failure Evaluation. Terry Baker, development engineer for ACI Services Inc., worked in the R&D laboratory for Rolls-Royce Energy Systems, formerly Cooper Energy Services, in Mount Vernon, Ohio, U.S.A., for more than 40 years His early background started in the U.S. Air Force (USAF), where he was trained on electronics for missile firing systems on one of the USAF's first computerized aircraft. Baker has a high curiosity on how things work and has been working with ACI for three years testing and developing new and innovative designs for the compressor industry. John Person, MAScPEng, is a collaborating partner with Klaus Enterprises Ltd and ACI Services Inc. through his company, Tangent Design Engineering Ltd. John holds a Master of Applied Science degree (MASc) in Mechanical Engineering from the University of British Columbia Since 2005, Tangent has worked with large and small firms providing mechanical simulation and design, fluid flow analysis and engineering design services. Soraya Bailey, MSc EIT, is an analysis engineer at Tangent Bailey holds a Bachelor's of Applied Science in Mechanical Engineering from University of Ottawa, and an MS in Biomedical Engineering from University of Calgary Bailey has a background and interest in mechanical design and analysis projects, and has been with Tangent since fall 2009.
