The water cycle and continental water balance face climatic changes.

Four short papers are presented from a meeting led by Laval, K. and Perrier, A., and held on 25 April 2007. The first paper is an introduction to the subject (by Laval. K.). The other three papers are: Consequences of climatic change for global water resources: what do we say to the latest simulations from GIEC [Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change]? (Douville, H.); The role of spatial management on climate: climate-vegetation interferences (Noblet, N. de); and The water cycle: the influence of irrigation on climate (Laval, K.). Conclusions are then drawn from the meeting by Perrier, A.
