Read-write characteristics of hybrid medium perpendicular magnetic recording

摘要

To improve the read/write characteristics of perpendicular magnetic recording medium, we proposed a hybrid medium that is composed of two layers, the one is with strong exchange interaction and the other is an isolated medium. With computer simulation we investigated the read/write characteristics of a hybrid medium. It was found that recording magnetizations of a hybrid medium is kept saturated over 800 kFCI. Also, the longitudinal component of single -pole-type head considerably affects the recording performance.
