摘要

The ultrasonic altimeters presently used on multi-rotor drones give sufficient accuracy. However, a secondary/backup sensor will increase safety when flying in urban areas, between high rise buildings and during adverse weather. Compact and single chip ranging radar are in the market for the 10 to 10.5GHz experimenter's band and 24GHz ISM band. As the arms of cinematic grade multi-rotors are approximately the same size as WR-90, using the arms as slotted waveguide antennas will not add weight to the multi-rotor drone. A series of 8 to 12 narrow wall inclined and Z-slot antennas were compared for bandwidth, radiation and structural properties. End feeding and center feeding was also compared.
