摘要

When target position is derived by measuring DOA angle on the assumption of standard atmosphere in air traffic control radar or tracking radar the height estimation error results from anomaly propagation of radar signal under duct environment. In this paper, target height error is evaluated by ray tracing method using surfaced based duct and elevated duct database provided by US navy. The results are summarized below, · Signal trapping has not occurred in elevated duct and occurred at the transmitting angle below 0.1 ~ 0.8 deg except some area in surfaced based duct. · An influence of elevated duct has been measured beyond 100 km distance, the height error is about 400m ~ 600m at the distance of 200 km. · In surfaced based duct, the height error is about several ten meters at the distance of 20 km except one data, and 200 ~ 1500m at the distance of 200 km.
