We wish to draw your attention, and the attention of your readers, to the fact that sections of a review published in CEPP1 are similar to those in a previous review written by one of us (PB) with two other colleagues that appeared in Hypertension.7 Dr Boutouyrie apologises to his co-author of the CEPP review (Associate Professor Kingwell) and to the two co-authors of the Hypertension review (Professor Laurent and Dr Lacolley) that this use of material was not noted appropriately in the CEPP review. We note that the re-use of material by the same author from one review to a subsequent review is only acceptable if it is clear to the editor and readers that this has been done. We apologise that this did not happen in this case.
