CAE (Computer Aided Engineering) is very important in developing and designing processes for general-use and standardized turbomachines. Structural analysis for construction parts has been applied to automotive and marine turbochargers, centrifugal and screw compressors. The history of structural analysis of the compressor and the turbine impellers is described, which are the most important part in rotating machinery, together with analysis results. Products based on such CAE demonstrate high performance and reliability, etc. The role of CAE in the future is also described.
