The cruciform specimen method has advantages that it can avoid the influence of stress singularity in evaluating the interfacial strength and that it can make various combined stress states of normal and shear. In the present study, the combined stress state interfacial failure criterion of glass fiber/epoxy interface is studied by the following original approach. First of all, we examine the cruciform specimen test with various cruciform angle specimens. In the present study, we call the angle between the loading and the fiber directions the cruciform angle. The varying cruciform angle can make various combined stress ratios. The test yields a relationship between the cruciform angle and the specimen stress when the interfacial debonding occurs.
