摘要

From the hydrosilylation reaction of methyl hydrogen polysiloxane fluid (MHPF) and 4-butoxyphenyl 4-(10'-undecylenoyloxy) cinnamate a novel photosensitive side-chain liquid crystalline polymer (SLCP)-polysiloxane 4-butoxyphenyl 4-(10'-undecylenoyloxy) cinnamate (PSBUC) was prepared and its liquid crystalline phases were studied. Thermal and spectroscopic analysis to envisage the structural changes investigated the thermal degradation of this novel polymer, which is a promising candidate as a rubbing free liquid crystal alignment layer with good thermal stability.
