It has not been performed to theoretically analyze the grounding characteristic of the rectangular earth plate electrode without replacing with the round plate. This paper describes the theoretical analysis of the potential distribution and the grounding resistance for the rectangular earth plate electrode. Based on the results, it is showed that the numerical calculations can be executed corresponding the differences of the plate settings and the varying of buried depths. Furthermore, the analysis of the earth plate electrode buried into the multi-layered earth is performed.
