摘要

Recent wide spreading of digital color cameras allow us to handle digital color images easily and effectively. However, color images taken by a ditital camera are still problematic because of its quality. This problem is mainly due to narrow dynamic range of the digital camera and lack of adaptive characteristics to wide dynamic range in natural scenes, which human visual system has. To overcome this problem, this study first proposes a method for capturing a wide dynamic range image by integrating images taken under various exposure conditions. Then, we propose a method for reproducing an image which gives relatively same contrast as when human observe a real natural scenes with wide dynamic range.
