摘要

A study of two-dimensional partial-response-maximum-likelihood system for advanced optical recording is described. By computer simulation, we calculate bit-error-rate performances of the system with two-dimensional run-length-limited code whose minimum run-length is 2. Signal to noise ratio of 17.8 dB is required for this system with track pitch and bit pitch of 100nm and bit error rate of 10{sup}(-5).
