摘要

Now that huge thermal energy storage systems arenot feasible to build on the ground, Underground thermal energystorage system (UTES) is one of the best effective solutions tothe above issues, requiring us further engineering developmentabout analysis technology on thermal analysis of undergroundsoil behaviors and heat transfers, underground soil structuresurvey, underground thermal energy storage systems, low costbore hole construction technology, underground heat exchangertechnology, underground water movement control, moreprogressed heat pump technology, system integration ofeffective thermal energy consumption and storage types andpeak load shavings, system operation and control technologyand environmental evaluations. UTES is able to be combinedwith application of geo-thermal energy. Research anddevelopment efforts are continued to provide the solutions toabove engineering subjects.
