The vehicle has a fuel cell unit to generate electric current from hydrogen stored in a car, where the electric current is indirectly supplied to a drive electromotor via an intermediate storage. The fuel cell unit and the storage are dimensioned such that an urban cycle provides an official permission for moving the non-track bound motor car on public roads without switching of a combustion engine i.e. petrol engine, under consideration of security reserve, where ten percent of maximum energy is required to complete the urban cycle successfully.
