The carrier (1) has a bicycle carrier body positioned parallel to a road surface and extended from a vehicle protruding transverse beam (1.2) for receiving a bicycle. A recess (E) with predetermined dimensions is formed corresponding to dimensions of height of a body portion of a person. The recess is centrally arranged along a longitudinal extent of the transverse beam.
