There stocked over 100 thousand of repairing parts for manufacturing equipment in factory. This inventory indicates not only quantity but also reliability of equipment. To reduce inventory loss and get reasonable inventory quantity, we developed inventory Management System for manufacturing equipment repairing parts. Before development of this system, we defined the inventory loss and issue in inventory management work, and structured system to solve these problems. We defined system structure as Client-Server system, with database that has two levels covering whole maintenance department, low cost inter-factory network by ADSL, and inventory management system for daily work. With this system, we realized efficient inventory management work and enabled to retrieve inventory data among different departments for each other, and also confirmed that we can reduce overlap inventory, shorten the time to search parts, and output the information for equipment improvement. In this report, we explain the concept and structure of Inventory Management System for manufacturing equipment repairing parts.
