Vegetation and flora of the national nature park 'Yugyd-va' (Komi Republic).

The flora and vegetation of plains, foothills and mountain zones of the National Nature Park of Komi Republic, Russia, as included into the UNESCO List of World Heritage Sites are characterized. The area consists of acidic wetlands (peat bogs) and woodland with tree species including Picea obovata, Betula nana, Salix spp., and Pinus sibirica. Grassland species include Calamagrostis purpurea, Vicia cracca and Poa pratensis, with Hedysarum alpinum and Phleum alpinum at higher altitudes. Vaccinium heathland is also represented. Notable wild flowers include Aconitum septentrionale, Delphinium elatum, Paeonia anomala, Veratrum lobelianum, Angelica archangelica and Trollius europaeus. 676 species were found in the flora. The genera with the greatest number of species were Cyperaceae, Asteraceae and Poaceae. The Boreal element comprised the largest proportion of the flora, followed by the Arctic-Alpine.
