SOCAR drilling

SOCAR drilled 34,601 metres in the first quarter of 2010, 27.5% less than the 47,742 metres drilled in the same period of 2009. In April, SOCAR drilled 10,847 metres, 3.6% less than the 11,252 metres completed in March, bringing the total for January-April to 45,448 metres consisting of 43,810 metres at development wells and 1,638 metres at exploration wells (including 400 metres at wildcat wells). This data excludes drilling by joint ventures and operating companies.
