After a brief hiatus, the course reemerged as "Advances in Perinatal and Pediatric Nutrition," with grant support from the Nestle Nutrition Institute, from 1989 to the present. The course was so successful that a sister conference was born at Johns Hopkins—the 2 courses appear on alternate years. The Nestle grant enabled us to bring both national and international experts to speak.
