The Office of Disability Employment Policy (ODEP) published the concept of "customized employment" in June of 2002 [3]. Since that time, customized employment (CE) has been shown to be a viable employment option for individuals with disabilities [1, 2]. CE is both a concept and a process, and differs from supported employment and other employment strategies in several ways. First, the process is based on the skills, talents, and interests of the individual with disabilities rather than the needs of the local labor market [4]
