The death of Professor Sushil Kumar Mukherjee on November 18,2006 has taken from our midst a Chemist,nay a Scientist of exceptional talent and a wonderful human being.He could,with ease,dwell upon practically all branches of science,meta-physics as well.He rose up the marks having started the hard way.Professor Mukherjee was born in Kulkhathi,a small village in the district of Barisal in undivided Bengal in October 13,1914(official date of birth January 1,1914).His father,Bhagabati Charan,was involved in Swadeshi movement and as such never well off.
