Effect of salt and solvents of the BZ reaction system containing tartaric acid and acetone as mixed organic substrate

摘要

For the oscillating system containing BrO_3~- -Mn~(II)-tartaric acid and acetone in various acid media,the effects of salts like potassium nitrate and potassium sulfate and a representative non-aqueous solvent soluble in water like 1,4-dioxane have been studied;the oscillatory characteristics have been computed.Mechanistic possibilities for the observed behavior have been suggested.
