The biocide and toxicological properties of novel copolymers of acrylamide with guanidine methacrylate (GMA) are studied. The toxicity of polyacrylamide is found to be higher than that of the studied copolymers. The system possessing the best biocidity and least toxicity for the studied test-cultures is the copolymer acrylamide:GMA (70:30).
