摘要

This paper presents a mathematical model and procedure for calibrating a 3D-measurement system with a zoom-lens camera. The standard calibration template was produced using a laser writer with 1μm line spacing accuracy. One can quickly and accurately calibrate this zoom lens system. This zoom-lens system can flexibly zoom in or out to measure the profile of a 3D object according to its slope and the required accuracy. For some steeper surface areas, the field of view can be further localized using the zoom lens so that the micro surface profiles can be detected to a very fine resolution. The flexibility of this zoom-lens system will greatly enhance 3D-measurement applications.
