In "Effects of hydroxyethyl starch infusion on colloid oncotic pressure in hypoproteinemic horses" (JAVMA 2001;218:1130-1135), the mathematical symbol 9 is missing from the text. In the third paragraph of the Results section (p 1132), the second sentence should be "The regression line representing a perfect model with the equation 9 = a + bx, where y = #pi#_(meas), x = #pi#_(A + G), intercept (a) = 0, and slope (b) = 1 was determined?TM Similarly, in the legend of Figure 1 (p 1132), the last sentence should be "The regression line (dashed line) representing a perfect model with the equation 9 = a + bx, where y = #pi#_(meas), X = #pi#_(A + G), intercept (a) = 0, and slope (b) = 1, was also determined."
