Following months of disgruntlement,the icy floes of opinion surrounding the European Union's proposed chemicals policies are finally beginning to thaw.With the EU agreeing to carry out a second round of impact assessments on its controversial Registration,Evaluation and Authorization of Chemicals (REACH) proposal,the mood both inside and outside the chemicals industry has gradually started to shift,with disparate factions beginning to coordinate efforts to improve the proposals.
