摘要

We have developed a learning environment for embedded system design. The learning environment consists of a multi-purpose controller and terminal devices. The controller consists of main processor (arm) and a multi-core microprocessor (Propeller). The main processor provides the software development environment. The Propeller chip has eight 32-bit processors and can perform simultaneous tasks for multiple users. In addition, the Propeller chip provides a re-configurable peripheral module. This feature is very useful for the development of educational materials. Teachers can develop various educational materials with this control module.
