Axillary web syndrome (AWS), also termed axillary cording is a phenomenon that has been recorded with relative frequency as a complication following axillary lymphade-nectomy (AL) and axillary sentinel node biopsy (SNB) for breast cancer. These procedures are also used to manage melanoma, however AWS has not been reported in the literature in relation to melanoma management. This paper aims to highlight AWS as a complication of SNB for melanoma.
